The powertrain allows the SUV to travel up to 25 mph by using the battery power alone. The Active Fuel Management System enables the V8 engine to run like a V4 and as a result the car is much more fuel efficient. Accelerating is so easy and smooth in this car despite its huge size.
You don't have to worry about passenger space with this big car; it seats eight people with ease. There are many amenities inside to make your ride as comfortable as possible including tri-zone climate control, a touch screen navigation system with turn by turn directions, an incredible Bose stereo and CD changer, sweet looking 22" chrome wheels, and a sunroof. Luxurious leather covers the seats and the driver seat features memory setting and is power adjustable. There is a Escalade Platinum Edition Hybrid trim available at an additional cost which includes special headlights, cup holders which can be cooled and heated, a heated steering wheel plus video monitors installed in the back of the front headrests perfect for enjoying movies and DVD's.
In terms of safety features, this car boasts a stability control system which has the ability to apply brakes selectively and prevent rollovers. There is also a four wheel anti-lock braking system, advanced disc brakes, On Star Emergency Services, side curtain airbags, side chest airbags and a tire pressure monitoring system that lets you known when your tires need to be adjusted. During government crash safety tests this SUV earned 5 star ratings for the protection of the front passengers.
This car doesn't come cheap at a base price of $73,000 around but keep in mind that it doesn't get much better than the Escalade when it comes to luxury and cool-factor. You will be driving one of the most coveted cars on the road.
