For the search engines to be able to work as they suppose to..they must be able to send you relevant content based around a keyword or key phrase that you type in to the search engine. Like if your looking for
mountain bikes, car covers, Nike shoes..then they must work to make sure you find exactly what your searching for. Its called relevant content.
The search engines have something that works for them 24hrs a day and 365 days a year without even taking a vacation. Its something that controls where my site is ranked and makes sure your getting the best content available for your search. They call this the search engine spider and his job is to scan the web for current updated content and new content.
So when you go to do a search for (seo marketing services), the search spiders has to go out and find the best content to bring back to you in a hurry by going through a number of steps. Now these steps have to be done almost nearly less than once second to, so you can search at a faster rate. But they determine this from the following…
Does the site header contains that keyword or key phrase
How many other pages on that site talks about that keyword
The authority of links pointing back to that site with that keyword as the anchor text
So in simple terms if you can dominate all of those items then your on the way to the bank! Right
Not so fast big guy…because to be able to achieve any of these item, you must understand web pages and how the good old search engine reads them. Once you grasp the way the spider comes to a particular page and reads the content from that page..then your be in business.
But you must first know what a web page contains and the things the search engines needs from you. Take a quick look at these important terms if you want to understand how to dominate the search engines.
Your URL – One of the best things you can do is to have your keyword in your base website for higher ranking. But if you don’t have that already then I will reveal something to you later that will help you with this.
Keyword Stuffing – This is when someone puts content on a page but makes it the same color as the back ground to confuse the search engines. If you do this then your not going to be around too long.
Site Age – The older your site is..the more trust search engines have in ranking your content higher.
Meta Tag – I will disregard this all together because due to SEO abuse in the past…search engines just looks over this.
Quality Link – These are links from trusted sites that will link to you and pass on link juice.
Text Linking – You must tell the search engines what that link is about by putting it as your keyword instead of "click here"
