Grand Canyon Helicopters for Travelers Who Want the Best

We have a lot of ways to travel nowadays. For instance, you could take a tropical cruise. If you are adventurous, you could even backpack across the country without a particular destination in mind. You may prefer a scenic drive with
a car full of friends. But if you'd like to do something adventurous and unique, you might want to consider Grand Canyon helicopters for your next trip.

A World Of Possibilities

Traveling abroad is always a possibility too. Some great places to see in Europe are France, England, and Italy. Great places to go in Asia are Japan, China, South Korea, or Hong Kong.

If you are like a lot of people though, you prefer to travel to points in the USA. Popular American tourist destinations include San Francisco, New York City, Washington, DC, Yellowstone Park and Mount Rushmore. The Grand Canyon is a very popular travel destination too since it is home to one of the largest canyons on earth. I guess that's how it got its name!

When you think about going to the Grand Canyon, you might not even think of a chopper tour. That's a shame, because a chopper can give you a unique aerial view that few other modes of transportation provide. Chopper tours are great because they can fly a lot lower than the airplanes do so you get an impressive view. Some helicopter air tours even land you on the canyon's bottom! You don't have to stop and land though, some aerial tours just fly you over the canyon. You can choose the best tour for you depending on your available time and budget.

Why Helicopters?

Flying at a lower altitude allows you to get a great view of the interesting landmarks like rocky temples, spires, and buttes. Take your camera and get some amazing photos and videos of your trip. Be sure your camera or cell phone has a full charge before you go. It would be a real shame if your battery ran out while you're in the air.

Be sure to tell the pilot if there is a particular landmark you want to see. He may not be able to change his flight path, but in certain circumstances it can be done. Most of the time, they need to stick to the standard flight plan. This makes passenger-customized flights almost impossible (particularly at the South Rim). Always ask in advance if you have a specific request in mind.

Air tours of the Grand Canyon are extremely popular. You'll need to book your tour in advance, so you can get the seats you want. Many air tours sell out weeks ahead, and some tour companies raise their prices as the flight date approaches. Therefore, you want to book your tour about one to two weeks ahead of time.

Get Ready For A Fun Trip

Chopper tours are great fun, and you should definitely plan to take one. If you plan to depart from Las Vegas, your chopper will go to the West Rim. If you depart from a city in Arizona, you will tour the South Rim. Decide whether you prefer a landing tour or one of the air-only versions. Chopper tours to the South Rim are air-only, but you can land at the West Rim and if you have time, you should consider it. Finally, book your seats on the Internet. That is where the best deals are. Go straight to the tour operator's website and buy your seats there so you qualify for the discounted Internet rate.
